Audience and purpose:
A fun activity with illustrated steps to make your own paper lantern and decorate it with symbols based on the reflective prompts.
Included as part of Culture Mile's Imagine Packs and posted to the homes of people at risk of isolation during the winter months with materials.
Key activity:
From researching the history of paper lanterns I found out that they would be displayed to symbolise a wish. Applying this meaning to the present day and the audience of this project, I incorporated an intentional reflective exercise to inspire their choice of decoration
