Hi, I'm Lizzie!
I'm an illustrator and writer who stares things we feel but can't see. (I know, not the easiest of paths).
Through the conceptual and metaphorical exploration of emotion and psychological experiences, I use bold colours, instinctive lines and abstract shapes to visualise the human experience that connect us all.

Feel free to click around to see my artwork collections, client work and get in touch if you think I can help you visually translate
your psychological experience!

Self-Love is great, but how do we make it sustainable?

Sustainable self-love campaign with Ksoni (a natural hair care brand) through product packaging and conversation.

Creating discussion around the natural ups and downs of maintaining a positive relationship with self on YouTube and at home.

Client: Ksoni

A luxury, sustainable and natural hair care brand.

  • Brand campaign and collaboration around my proposed theme 'Sustainable Self-Love'.

  • A conversation I wanted to have in collaboration with a sustainable and authentic brand that supports and is run by women of colour.

  • Why? To raise awareness of the importance to develop self-love practices that are sustainable for you and acknowledge the difficulties that come with maintaining a positive relationship with self.

  • Designed x3 limited edition packaging labels for Ksoni's shampoo and conditioner collections, including the newly released travel-sized bottle.

  • Supported the founders and digital marketing team in the production of the social media strategy which included graphics, a giveaway, content, IGTV conversations and workshops with guest speakers.

Connect your content to your audience's conscious and subconscious emotional associations.

The Race represents life's hurdles, hoops and muddy puddles which later inspired a poem.

Dive or Jump is a small drawing based on the Diving Boards series.

Diving Boards

When on the edge of something new, vast and uncertain, we suddenly find comfort in the present.

Sat in the present,

hyperaware before the leap.

Consumed with gratitude and hesitation,

questioning the depths and distance of the deep.

Knowing this moment will be your last in this time.

Double...triple checking you're actually ready to leave,

but held on to that edge by fear and a suprising moment of peace.

A moment of contentment, numbness, silence,

in reflection of how far you've come.

Thanking this edge for this moment as we sit with present-me as we prepare to become future we.

You can't chicken out now, that's simply not fair!

It was I who got us here in the first place

so don't tell me you now want to stay!

I swear if you even dare!

You already know what's been and what comes along for fun. This is about making a real difference and feeling fulfilled as well as having fun. you'll be bored within a day.

Take the dive and trust it'll be fine, the anticipation and excitement will help keep you dry. There is just so much more to explore, so go ahead, embrace this moment of pause. But not for too long! Then push yourself off and find out where you belong.

City Lines

South London is home.

South is my birthmark and it is my honour to protect your name. You may not see these paintings as the gritty south but they are to me in many ways. I see the lines of people as they move between the streets. The colours of the signage and the divide between the sky, the ground and the tube beneath our feet.

The most glamourous city I've ever known, who's views are desirable at every turn. From the edge of a bridge looking down the River Thames, to down an alley lit by a night club where communities collide and he/she becomes they and them.

Your poeticism is unignorable. Those angles and them curves! But they're bleaching your melanin with newbuilds and using cladding to hide ours. Sometimes I wish you'd fight back even though I'm not sure how. You caught fire back in 2008 and look where we are now.

You have been painted onto my soul, my voice, my fashion, my face. Being from South is my unapologetic plee that I never have to lose myself again.

I feel safe here, I feel me. I know you, and you know me.

But if one day I have to leave, I'll find my way back to these streets. It'll be like I never left because my history, my place here is unerasable you see.
